I have always had a passion for making things beautiful. I was blessed to grow up in southern Mississippi surrounded by a creative family who encouraged my talents. My love for decorating and event planning began at a very young age and my parents always fostered my creativity. They gave me artistic reign over our house allowing me to redecorate whenever I wanted and even do some remodeling. I also took every opportunity I could to help family and friends plan parties, luncheons, church receptions, showers and many other events.
Around the age of 12, I started spending my summers helping at a gift shop in my hometown of Wiggins, Mississippi. I enjoyed creating displays and decorating for Christmas, my favorite holiday. I continued to work at the gift shop until I graduated from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College and moved away to complete my bachelor’s degree at The University of Mississippi. While at Ole Miss, I worked at an interior design firm on The Square and assisted the owner with design projects. After completing my degree, I accepted a position at an interior design firm in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This gave me the opportunity to perfect my design abilities while working closely with the owner. During this time is also when I learned of my passion and talent in wedding planning, when I helped my sister plan her dream wedding. Since then, I have planned and coordinated many weddings in Mississippi and Louisiana and absolutely love it. While I enjoyed living in Baton Rouge, a dream of mine had always been to live in New Orleans, Louisiana. I love the city’s rich culture and diversity and in 2011, I decided to move and now call New Orleans home.
